Haiti Christian Mission is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to providing evangelism, education, discipleship training, and most importantly, love to the citizens of Haiti. The mission director, Choubert Remy, is a native Haitian who came to the United States to receive a Christian education. Choubert earned an A.A. in Bible and Ministry from Kentucky Christian College and a B.S. in psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. After returning to his native land to found and operate the mission, Choubert returned to the US for a short time to earn a Masters degree in counseling from Lincoln Christian College. He has again returned to Haiti, where he has served as pastor to four churches, founded a Christian school, opened the first Christian university in Haiti (with the help of two other partners), and operated various discipleship training courses throughout the nation. His current church in the village of Galette Goureau is the only non-voodoo church in the area. The Russell Christian School, which he and his wife Bernadette opened in 1995 with 30 students, now enrolls just under 200 K-6 students in the village.
