Tomorrow the sermon title is "The Father's Love" and will conclude the readings from this week. I ask that you pray for love to fill the church house tomorrow both during our morning and evening services.
When the phrase "The Father's Love" comes to mind, I realize that this will mean differing things to different people. Some of us were blessed with solid, Christian fathers. Some of us only knew our dad's love at certain times - when they were not too busy or away from home. Some of us knew our dads but didn't know any love. Then there are those who have never known either.
This is where we as a church - a body of believers with Christ at the head are to so show our Father's love. Not just to those who are like us and whom we are comfortable sharing with. We are to show His love to all who are in our path, and not just at church on Sunday morning. How do we become that love to others?
We will start each morning service with a video entitled "The Father's Love Letter." I pray it has the same impact on you that it had on me.
Bring someone with you Sunday and let's allow the love of the Lord to take over in our lives. Then come back tomorrow evening and let's talk about how we can be bolder in showing His love to the world around us.
