Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
"A family dedicated to worshiping God, building up the family, and bringing the lost to Christ", is the mission statement of Big Hill Christian Church. We believe this Scripture based statement should be the focus of every ministry in this church family.
"A family dedicated to worshiping God"
On Sunday morning we offer two worship service opportunities. The 8:30 am "Classic Service" includes singing from hymnals and is considered to be a more traditional worship service. The 11:00 am "Contemporary Service" offers a more contemporary style worship with praise songs and the use of our two overhead screens for worship and visual support.
"Building up the family"
Sunday mornings, between our "classic" and "Contemporary" worship services, we offer Sunday School classes for all ages. These classes are geared to bring you to a better understanding of the Word and your place in God's plan for your life. From the nursery to seniors, we believe you will find fellowship, connection, and spiritual encouragement for your relationship with the Lord.
Each Sunday evening at 6 pm we offer an adult service, as well as classes for all ages of children. These services are offered in an informal setting to welcome questions and discussion. Our aim is to seek the truth and God's direction in living a life of discipleship in today's world. 2 Timothy 2:15 states, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."
Women and Men's Small Groups meet on Tuesday evenings and Saturday morning to offer times of fellowship and study. These studies involve both Bible and topical studies designed to spur us on to better acts of service.
Each Wednesday evening we offer classes for all ages. From the nursery age to the fifth grade e offer our "Gospel Kids" programs. Junior and Senior high school classes are available, as well as a ladies study and our Adult Bible Study.
"Bringing the lost to Christ"
We believe God has given every one of us a gift, a talent designed just for us, which we are to use to bring honor and glory back to Him. When we come together, we find our individual talents will work together to form the body of Christ, His church. As a church we are commissioned to "Go into all the world and make disciples...." (Matthew 28:18-19). We strongly believe the Lord provides opportunities for us each day to share His love and His gospel message with the people of this community. By taking an active part in the worship services, Bible studies, small groups, and other events and activities in the church family, we are trained and equipped to be the salt and the light recorded in the Scriptures.
We would love to see you at any or all of these weekly offerings at Big Hill. Come see us, we'd love to meet you!!
Stand firm!! (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Jim Riggs, Senior Pastor
